Seasonal message from Dave Outen, Managing Director, Dugdale PVC on behalf of all the Directors
Dear Customer,
Here at Dugdale I am very happy to say that, as we prepare for what could be a turbulent few months that will affect all UK businesses, we have enjoyed exceptional growth and new product innovation throughout this last year.
With significant projects still under development, we shall be steadily unveiling and promoting these throughout 2019 and beyond.
Looking back, the groundbreaking Vinyl Congress, Brighton, May 2018, gave a clear hint of some of the new work now being achieved in our laboratories and pilot scale production line. For the first time – and thanks to our R&D efforts - the record industry is now enabled to boost its creativity with unlimited use of colour in vinyl without loss of audio performance.
During 2018, and after 46 years of continuous service, Dugdale PVC’s quality manager David Ryder retired from full time work. Dave continues to contribute here on a part time basis and his new charges are in place and performing very well.
This year also saw Dugdale support the BPF's lobbying of the government against some very topical news stories. Now, more than ever, it is vital for those of us in industry to communicate our work, our successes and our concerns to those who shape the ongoing legislation of our country. In that regard, 2019 will see Dugdale further investing in its communications role and responsibilities.
Rest assured, our investments in plant and capital infrastructure, capacity, warehousing, skills training and other aspects of the business will also continue apace and for the foreseeable future. And on that forward note, Dugdale has once again committed to the triennial PVC conference and exhibition.
The PVC 2020 event will relocate to Edinburgh, and Dugdale is delighted to have already confirmed its gold sponsorship for the event. Although we are as competitive a company as any, in my view there can be no substitute for sharing issues of best practice and common issues and concerns. We welcome the chance to promote links, networking and community within our industry.
And as this Christmas season comes into view may I wish you all the very best for the festive season and a prosperous new year ahead.
Thank you once again for you business.
Dave Outen, Managing Director, Dugdale PVC on behalf of all the Directors
