Leading PVC compounder and Gold sponsor of PVC 2017, Dugdale Ltd anticipates a confident and busy year ahead.

The West Yorkshire based company is set to reap the fruit of a circa £3m three year investment programme and is also looking forward to finding new markets and new customers as the UK’s largest independent provider.

‘The Dugdale mission statement and mantra has always been - service, service, service,’ says Managing Director David Outen. ‘It’s what we’re known for, and it’s what guarantees our repeat business and an average demand for over 50 new PVC compound requests per month.

Our leading independent status can only enhance this reputation. Dugdale flies the flag for PVC compounds,’ he adds, ‘and our products demonstrate the continuing versatility and cost performance of the material – helping our customers to do the same.’

Dugdale is famed for its close working relationship with industry, ensuring that its materials do exactly what the customer wants; and providing this assurance at the customer’s place of manufacture via on site trialling and product proving.

‘Over the years we have established the “Dugdale” brand as a badge of premier quality, one that gives the customer complete peace-of-mind,’ says Outen.

The Dugdale technical team, led by Dr Jeff Ryan, is busier than ever on the latter score: Legislation, expansion in the building and environmental markets, and opportunities with new materials and technology are just some of the factors fuelling demand from the UK’s PVC processors.

Dugdale’s new laboratories and pilot production scale plant will be on stream by Q2 2017 and Dr Ryan expects to be able to immediately explore new trends in both development and quality control test equipment/methods

The new Dugdale laboratory facilities will also help catalyse company capabilities in mixing, compounding, additives, the introduction of new materials; accelerating time-to-market for many compounds.

Ryan explains that there are a host of further factors and opportunities filling Dugdale’s technical horizons through 2017. This list is extensive. It includes opportunities in: performance engineering polymers; the use of alloys to enhance properties; new nano-fillers for polymers and special effect pigments/surface finish modifiers;

At this point in the year, the company’s first outward bound marketing call sees it taking the Dugdale message southbound: Dugdale’s renewed Gold Sponsorship of the triennial PVC 2017 event, Brighton April 24-27, is in many ways the culmination of a three year business plan.

David Outen says that ‘we are greatly looking forward to PVC 2017. We encourage all in the trade to support the event, to celebrate our industry and to work together to develop it. We are delighted for the upcoming opportunity to network with our peers and our customer base.’
