Dugdale seals Gold Sponsorship of PVC 2020 - Edinburgh

Published on 22nd November 2018

Leading independent PVC compounder Dugdale Ltd has announced its Gold Sponsorship of the Institute of Materials (IOM3) triennial conference and exhibition, PVC 2020, April 20-23, 2020.

For the first time the prestigious event will be held at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre, Scotland. The Edinburgh location appealed to the event organisers for its international connectivity and the enhancement of networking opportunities over the course of the three-day event.

Over 500 delegates attended PVC 2017. Dugdale Managing Director David Outen, an active member of the organisation committee, comments “the change of venue will continue to elevate the industry’s community spirit’.

‘Dugdale is delighted to once again renew our Gold Sponsorship of this landmark event, he says. ‘We continue to see some very positive trends for our industry. Edinburgh 2020 will give us a perfect backdrop for our meetings, networking and dissemination of industry research and trends.’

Dudgale also continues to reap the fruits of a multi million pound investment programme - enjoying one of the busiest periods in its history as the UK’s largest independent provider of PVC compounds. The company’s innovation is channelled through Dugdale’s new product development team, led by Dr Jeff Ryan.  Dr Ryan’s team uses the company’s purpose built laboratory facilities and pilot line to first prove the new materials, shipping samples to customers for in-house trials prior to progressing the new developmental grades to full production. From concept through to design and to final approval, each stage of the Dugdale development and technical service process is focussed on delivering the requirements of the end user.

In the five years since the Dugdale MBO the company has invested over £3.5m in new plant and infrastructure; modernising systems and keeping pace with sales demand. Colour matching, meeting customer performance requests are the predominant drivers for Dugdale expansion. Further reasons for growth include the need for enhanced weathering, improved fire performance, an up lift in physical properties, anti-microbial or anti-fungal requirements, legislative changes and surface finish modification.

Exceptional customer focus is probably Dugdale’s best-defined feature and trademark: David Outen notes that ‘the sustained growth within the past ten-years has been testament of this achievement. We have built this business around driven professionals, to provide market focused solutions to a broad customer base and now offer a comprehensive range of products and innovations which embrace industry trends.  Our customers, stakeholders and all in the PVC industry can be confident that we will continue to follow this strategy. We look forward to networking and sharing our experiences once more in Edinburgh at PVC 2020.’
