With the imminent retirement of a key player in its sales team, PVC compounder Dugdale Ltd has announced the appointment of another highly experienced and well-respected compounding sales specialist. Mike Davies joins Dugdale from 1 October 2012 to work on special projects until he takes over responsibility for sales in the South of England when John Salmon retires in 2013 after 11 years with the company.

Managing Director Dave Outen says Dugdale’s clear focus on customer service demanded that southern area sales should continue to be supported by high levels of expertise and professionalism.

“We are fortunate to be able to replace experience with experience, as Mike brings with him a thorough knowledge of our industry and the best ways of addressing today’s customers’ needs,” he says. “This enables us to make it as easy as possible for our customers to interact with Dugdale in the future. It also means we are well-placed to deal with new challenges in the market place.”

Swindon-based Mike Davies previously spent 28 years with another prominent PVC compounder, where he started as warehouse manager and moved through transport, logistics and sales before moving into business management.

“Apart from product development and manufacturing, my time in PVC compounding covers virtually every other aspect of the customer relationship from discussing the need to delivering the compounds,” he says.
