Milestones

Dugdale Company timeline.

1896 – S Dugdale Son & Company was founded and commenced business as cotton spinners.

1925 – Moved to Valley Mill.

1950 – Started to manufacture PVC plastisols.

1959 – Ceased activity in the cotton trade. Started manufacture of flexible PVC compounds.

1962 – Ceased activity in PVC plastisols. Concentrated solely on flexible PVC compounds for the footwear and cable industry.

1972 - Ceased production in PVC plastisols

1988 – Production volume increased to 8000 tonnes per annum.

1998 – Sales increased to 12000 tonnes per annum following the introduction of rigid PVC compounds. Business had diversified into other flexible products such as crystal clear injection moulding and GP extrusion.

2001 – David Dugdale retired. Company subsequently sold to Richard Bickerton and Tom Durkin.
 
2012 - Dugdale Ltd formed

2014 – MBO of Dugdale Ltd by David Outen (Managing Director), Darren Rowell (Financial Director) and Dr. Jeff Ryan (Technical Director)
